PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Patrick Davis is a Graduate Gemologist (GG) from the Gemological Institute of
America (GIA), a title conferred upon completion of required courses and
examinations in the theory and practice of gemology. He is an Accredited Senior
Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers, and one of only a handful
of Master Gemologist Appraisers® in the United States. These certifications were
awarded as a result of successfully passing the Society's intensive written and oral
examinations, submission of sample appraisals, and other qualifying criteria
required by the Society's International Board of Examiners.
Patrick began his practice as an appraiser in 1994. In 2000 he founded
GemSecure Jewelry Appraisals, (GJA) located in Los Angeles and is the director of
Associated Gemological Laboratory (AGL) a state of the art, gemological
laboratory. Mr. Davis is highly respected in the appraisal profession, having
attained top-level credentials in the professional appraisal field.
Mr. Davis's clients include major manufacturers, auction houses, retail stores,
industry professionals, high profile and celebrity clients and the general public.
Patrick has appeared as an expert witness in many high profile court cases.
Patrick Davis serves as a Professional Jewelry Appraiser / Graduate Gemologist
when required for litigation support or expert witness testimony. He is a
professionally trained appraiser who has the expertise to offer opinions of value in
an unbiased manner to aid the court in reaching an equitable decision.
Patrick observes the Code of Ethics of the American Society of Appraisers and all
documents and services offered are provided in conformity with the Uniform
Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP),
The American Society of Appraisers is a multi-disciplinary professional appraisal
society which tests and certifies its members. A code of ethics and continuing
program for re-accreditation of its members, distinguishes the professional
reputation of the society.
